Pleasantly bitter, simple and refreshing, definitely one of their better products, their flagship lager and basically everything but their flavoured line are sorely disappointing.

473mL can, thanks to my cousin, Kris, for bringing me some Canadian craft beer. Golden colored ale with a creamy white head that fades to a foam. Lemongrassy aroma. More blonde ale flavors with honey, pale malt, and lemongrassy hops; quite refreshing. Lighter body, ample carbonation, finishing modestly bitter. As a blonde ale, this is decent; as an APA it's not bitter or flavorful enough to warrant a recommendation.

473ml can, actually billed as a 'Blonde' Canadian Pale Ale, which is of course, redundant. Anyways, looks like their stuff is still contract brewed, and this time it's by Ribstone Creek in Alberta.

This beer pours a mostly clear, medium golden yellow colour, with two fingers of puffy, finely foamy, and yet somewhat fizzy dirty white head, which leaves a bit of dripping paint swath lace around the glass as things quickly blow off.

It smells of grainy, and lightly crackery pale malt, a faint cardboard/plastic packaging astringency, stale discount store honey, underripe red apples, and some very, very tame earthy and dead floral hop bitters. The taste is sweet and light malt (grain and corn, seemingly), muddled pome fruit notes, more wan honey sweetness, a touch of wayward yeast, and more plain and duly understated leafy, earthy, and musty hoppiness.

The carbonation is good and active in its thorough and probing frothiness, the body a so-so middleweight, and not particularly smooth - a growing sour fruity edginess seeing to that. It finishes off-dry, the lingering bad apple character starting to really get on my palate's nerves.

Yeah, not the shit-show that was its Ontario-brewed 'premium' lager cousin once removed, but hardly an upstanding version of any sort of pale ale, and an average and generic (inherencies, I know) blonde ale if we're taking that side of the label at its word. Overall - boring, and it unfairly makes me think less of Ribstone Creek's brewing prowess.
