This seems newly stocked in my local Waitrose, so I thought I'd give it a go:
L- In daylight it's black, very dark ruby if help in front of a halogen bulb. Pours with a 1mm ultra-fine bubble tan foam cap.
S- Quite roasty-toasty, cold log embers, nice.
T- Brighter than anticipated, both hops and dissolved CO2, the notable bitterness seems to linger on the palate.
F- The front lable states that it is a Cream Stout, but it isn't at all creamy to me, it's unexpectedly pretty darn hoppy-dry. I really don't get anything Sweet/Milk[y] either. It's somewhere between trad bitter, and amped up at that and sour in a 'hipster' contemporary way.
O- 'Cream stout' on the lable is all I have to go on right now, this is blind-tasted. So it's rather confusing. Seems more like a trad stout that's had the dry hops turned up to 11. Too bright for me. Having written/rated above I'll now check the labeling for any clues... 'Laced with chocolate and rich fruit flavours'.... hmmm, such passed me by! 500ml bottle BB: 7/11/26, ingredients include oats, wheat and barley.

Bottle. Almost black with a thin light tan head.
Smells of chocolate with hints of autumn hedgerow fruits and caramel.
A malty flavour. Toasted brown bread with a mild charred bitter finish.
Low carbonation. Medium body. Has the feel of a dry stout rather than a cram one listed on the bottle.
An autumn beer. Woodforde's have another Albion at 4.8% and described as an English stout. Is this one the same?
