500ml bottle at share. Dark brown pour, flat, thin ring if beige head. Maple dominates the aroma. Taste brings it all together, chocolate, roast malts and more maple.. Superb.

500ml bottle, Hill Farmstead stemmed glass. Dark black body, has a light chocolate colored head measuring one finger, fair retention, no lacing. Smell is big milk chocolate and maple syrup sweetness, touch of molasses. Smooth whiskey background, a bit of mild roast. Flavour follows, nice smooth maple sweetness balanced by a bit of espresso and roast, wet bourbon. So nice and complex. Full bodied, viscous and chewy, almost to the point that it gets a bit syrupy. Delicious. Enjoyed this rendition more than the original one.

Phenomenal! Exactly what a amazing barrel aged maple syrup stout should be. Drank this before Mornin Deight release and I would've taken bottles of this all day in my car over MD on tap. Hill Farmstead is the absolute real deal with stouts. I've been blown away by the qaulity and depth of both. With seemingly only a handful of ingredients.
