On tap at Hill Farmstead brewery. Served in a willi becher glass. Pours a cloudy, hazy yellow body, one finger thick white head, pulpy looking, good retention, bits of lacing. Smells of citrus and grass, light grainy sweetness, grapefruit, light herbal resin. All in all it smells like a fairly juicy hazy IPA. The flavour follows, a light grainy sweetness backs up a fair dose of citrus and grassiness, touch of hop resin; not particularly bitter. This acts like a great session IPA as this delivers the hops without much burn or sweetness to it. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, creamy, well carbonated and very well put together. Lots of hop flavour for what is essentially a session IPA.

draft at Rattle n Hum West poured into a 5oz snifter.
A~ glowing orange/yellow with a medium head and a lot of lacing.
S~ tons of citrus and candied/burnt oranges followed by slight grass/earthyness.
T~ pretty different here! strong lemon on the pallet just like lemon meringue. ending with a heavy wheat presence, which i normally don't like but works well here!
M~ light, smooth, nice carb and very refreshing!
O~very nice addition to the series! and different! which i'm all about! i really loved the whole lemon meringue thing, even if it was just me haha!

L - pours a super hazy, yeasty, murky orange. Surprisingly foreboding for a pale ale!
S - orange candy and a penetrating vanilla creamsicle mixed with lemon meringue pie. Smells fantastic.
T - buckwheat is a strange and potent animal. Distinct and unique flavors of grainy lemon rind, apple slice, and apricot candy. Huge bitterness on the finish. Yuge, I tell ya. For a pale ale? Some fruity citrus shines through a la tangerine and lime.
F - masterful and creamy as always from these guys. Leaves a minty coolness when all is said and done. Low carbonation.
O - this is unique, to say the least. Lots of interesting flavors and a bold take on a boring style. Well done.
