We chose a single, two year old barrel of our bourbon barrel-aged stout, Damon, and further conditioned it upon Kenyan Kieni coffee beans that were sourced, roasted, and lovingly provided to us by the Coffee Collective in Copenhagen, Denmark.

WOW. I truly did not think I could enjoy Damon more but holy cow this is a beautiful variant of it. These must be some seriously spectacular coffee beans!

Rich dark brown appearance with a dense tan head, decent retention, delicate lacing. Rich roasty dark coffee, dark creamy chocolate, faint almond, and that typical bold bourbon barrel backbone. Thick body, medium carbonation. Top Damon variant for sure.

Served at the brewery into a HF bulb, split 3 ways.
Pours a deep inky black body with a small light brown head that sticks around to leave spotty lacing.
Aromas are filled with vanilla and dark fruits, fig, raisins, light coffee and milk chocolate.
On the tongue is rich decadent bourbon and fresh ground coffee, dark chocolate covered raisins, vanilla, lightly roasty with a lingering sweetness on the tongue. Thick body with medium-low carbonation.
A magnificent beer, seek it out

Bottle poured onsite into two globes.
Pours silky smooth and deepest of dark browns, opaque, thin creamy dark tan head that settles into thick collar and small bubbled floating island.
Aroma is big bourbon, smooth roasted coffee and some bittersweet baking cocoa. Hint of dark fruits as it warms as well as a bit of alcohol warmth.
Flavor is silky smooth blend. The big bourbon aroma is balanced into a perfect accent to the bold stout flavors and rich and roasty coffee. Nothing is masked or overshadowed. Coffee is discernible, but does not block the base stout flavors, seems like a medium roast of the bean, no "burnt" flavors. Sweet fig lingers in the background.
Smooth, exact to style carbonation, full bodied but not heavy or syrupy. Nothing lingers or coats the tongue.
An excellent base brew with the perfect amount of change/addition. Nothing taken away.
