Had on tap at the Whetstone Station, Brattleboro
L — Hazy orange with a robust white head that retains and laces very well.
S — Orange, clementine, chalky yeastiness, floral, papaya, honey
T — Guava, orange rind, grapefruit flesh, honey cracker malts, fresh pine needles, earth
F — Medium mouthfeel, medium+ carb. Has that usual HF crackery crispness
O — Nice exhibition of some oft-overlooked American hops combined with my favorite European hop.
88/100

On tap at Vermont Tap House, Williston, Vermont.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a cloudy to hazy burnt orange rust color with barely any head sliding off at a fairly slow pace. Just a concave little bit of lace nipping at the sides and ended up sliding into strings sliding in with the sips.
The aroma shaped a strong presence of sweet to bitter orange pulp with a perfumey lemon sweet scent rolling into some piney sweet to bitter qualities. Slight grassiness on the back end.
The flavor was moderately sweet with an accompanying bitterness from the pine and orange rind strutting over the pulpy to lemon perfumey character. Light aftertaste of lemon fresh mobile character to the piney-ness.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation was low as usual for the New England style. ABV felt good. Nice semi-juicy sweet to bitter finish.
Overall, pretty nicely done New England styled IPA that I wouldn't mind coming back to.
