In our ongoing exploration of new and experimental hop varieties, we offer Excursions: Triumph, a new public hop variety developed by the USDA Hop Breeding & Genetics program at Corvallis, Ore., who’s pedigree includes Nugget, Brewers Gold, East Kent Goldings, and Hallertau Mittelfrüh. Highlighted by intense fruity aromatics hinting at stone fruit and citrus, with a pleasant, lightly spicy and piney finish.

Split a growler of this with JLindros.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice hazy golden hue with a thin white head that fades to leave light lacing and thin wisps.
S - Big aromas of earthy floral hops, tons of almost spicy dankness. Little bit of tropical and stone fruit. Flashes of bread and nice malts.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of earthy floral pine hops. Good bitter finish. Lingering pine and dank tropical notes as well as citrus peel. There is real good light almost tea like floral .
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, crisp, clean.
O - Overall this was a very solid ipa. Triumph was fun but it's almost like a mosaic hop.
