Everett (1908-1939) was our grandfather’s brother; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his 13 siblings. In his honor, this Porter is crafted from American malted barley, English and German roasted malts, American hops, our ale yeast, and water from our well. It is unfiltered and naturally carbonated. Decadent in its depth, with a complex backbone of chocolate, coffee, and malty sweetness, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Everett.
Pale, Caramel, and Chocolate Malt, Roasted Barley, Columbus hops; Ale Yeast, and our Well Water.

Had a single draft at The Bench in Stowe, Vermont for about nine dollars. My twenty second brew reviewed from these guys. Absolute world class porter.

Dark pour, nice head and great lacing. Whoooo boy…smoky aromas bite your nose on first whiff. Super smoky malts, cocoa, coffee and woodiness. Very complex. Super smoky. Bordering on rauchbier smokiness. Worth seeking out.

A curious thing about this beer... although it is a porter, it tastes remarkably similar to Founders' Breakfast Stout. I know stouts and porters have defining characteristics which are not the same, but I swear, I probably couldn't pick them apart from each other in a two beer taste test. Absolutely wonderful, as are the few other Hill Farmstead brews I have been lucky enough to taste, thanks to my friend, Dave Alcantarra.

Totally awesome porter. Really full bodied with a dense coffee flavor.
