Foster Hill (1904 - 1919) was Edward's brother; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his 13 siblings. In its previous incarnation, we had honored him in a different manner, one that was limited by its infrequency; we hope to reinvigorate his memory by adapting his namesake beer to an American IPA—brewed with Citra® and Simcoe® hops.

Tip top echelon. Top tier. Superb hoppy ale. Can’t quite place it; i think, a special yeast was used here. Superb hop work. Careful. Thoughtful. Yum.

Had a single draft at The Bench in Stowe, Vermont for about nine dollars. My twenty third brew reviewed from these guys. Very nice brew...not one of their best, but very good.

Decent IPA but Hilllstead Farm has better. This one teetered on too much orsnge for me. Their APA Edgar is top 10-er, no reason to stray.

On draft, in pint glass
Hazy yellow orange color, thin white head. Big citrus aroma, with a bit of a dank finish. Similar taste, with just enough bitterness. Softer mouthfeel
