This series has provided an opportunity to explore different hop combinations—each paired with Simcoe®. It’s been a little bit since we offered a new blend, and this one features one of our favorite experimental hops, Hop Breeding Company’s HBC 586, in combination with personally selected Motueka hops grown by our agricultural partners at Freestyle Hops in Upper Moutere, New Zealand.

On tap at Tryon City Tavern in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a nicely hazy but not too hazy golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells quite peachy, with some marijuana, spicy and herbal hop bitterness, some blueberry, and lemon/lime.
I’ve had a few good beers from Hill Farmstead with HBC 586, it seems like a cool hop. There’s lots of stone fruit, presenting as peachiness, with a nice peppery and marijuana-ish bitterness, with berries and lemon/lime notes from the Motueka.
This is crisp, clean, and quite drinkable, like basically every Hill Farmstead IPA.
There’s been so many of these, so I don’t really know how to place it within this series, but I definitely enjoy it.
