In honor of our 15th anniversary in 2025, we crafted a blend consisting of our most cherished imperial stout, Damon, aged for two years in Bourbon barrels from our favorite distilleries; two other yet-to-be release imperial stouts, one aged in Bourbon barrel for a year and the other aged in a single tawny Port barrel for a year; and Beyond Good and Evil that had aged in Bourbon for nearly two years.

Had on tap. Opaque black body, brown collar. Smells has the bourbon more than the port, with molasses, roasted malt, dark chocolate, licorice, and charred earth. Taste starts with the bourbon being mixed into the deep earth, chocolate, dark roast coffee, dark fruits, and roasted malt, when all the sudden that port hits with a hint of raisin and black currant, licorice with a slight pungency. Feel is heavy and boozy, not as smooth in the ruggedness of the usual HF stout, chewy though

2025 vintage; drank 5/12/26 @ the Hopleaf.
Black appearance.
No head; no lacing remained.
Dark chocolate, mild smoke & faint black licorice notes in the nose.
Medium thick, creamy mouthfeel.
Dark chocolate & faint black licorice flavors up front; rich port wine notes on the finish. Once warm, mild maple sweetness emerged.
Complex but easy drinking. Well worth tracking down.

This one pours a very dark black, with a very small head, and no lacing.
This smells like maple, honey, black cherry leather, bourbon, milk chocolate, raisin, licorice, and coffee.
This is an excellent blend, with a smooth silky and caramelly bourbon character, some delightful honey-like notes, and a distinctly candied like dark fruit flavor. There’s some licorice and roast, with silky vanilla and coffee notes.
This is medium bodied, lightly carbonated, and very velvety on the palate.
This is one of the better entries in this series a bit – it was a delight to drink.
