From a growler filled on February 18, 2017. Sampled on February 19, 2017
The look of this beer is right on! It's an attractive dark brown with ruby red hues and a modest tan head that fades momentarily.
The aroma has a wooden barrel character all around with a dark fruitiness lie plums, prunes, char, and a muted sweet malt sensation Low hop profile.
The body was thin, which was a disappointment.
The taste is all about the Jack Daniels barrel aging as those boozy, Bourbon characters take over everything. I also pick up some burnt dark malts and maybe some black cherry.
