This is based on the 2012 release.
I had a chance to try a sample of the 2012 release for free so I went for it.
Absolutely great.
A- Nice, dark golden IPA.
Smell: Lot of grapefruit, well utilized cascade. Some spice notes.
Taste- fruity and well balanced, just enough caramel to play against the slightly sharp finish.
Mouthfeel - slightly thin, but just barely. Well carbed though.
Overall: Excellent IPA and quite the redemption from the 2011 version which was the "Iowa Grown IPA."
