Poured into a nonic glass. Schooner on tap at the Airways Bistro. Poured a cloudy medium copper amber with a one finger white head with good retention and lacing. Light aroma of neutral malt, citrus hops and light coconut. Flavor is rich biscuit malt, citrus hops and well integrated light coconut, which added both coconut and a mild nutty flavor to the malt. Medium bodied with nice mouth feel. A quite pleasant malty IPA, presenting itself as with an almost ESB biscuit malt body at first, but with moderate citrus hops and a well balanced light coconut flavor in the in finish. Seems at first like a busy combination of flavors, and the hops are not that noticeable at first; covered by the malt, but add nicely to the finish. I enjoyed sipping this coconut IPA. This was an ale I wished I had the time to sit with a whole pint instead of the schooner.
