The colour is pale gold (12 EBC), the liquid is clear. The warm white head is two fingers high and compact. It sinks slowly leaving almost no lacing.
The smell is a bit bitter. But the fruit esters and mild hint of yeast dominates the smell. Dry minerals, ripe apples, orange peels, some hoppy flavours of hay. Quite light, actually, but very balanced.
The taste is a bit hoppy at the start; I also note some herbal-hayish notes that soon are accomplished by ripe red berries and wheat-sourness, some dry yeast and hints of chalks, perfume and pears. The aftertaste got some warming alcohol, smooth yeasty notes and a very mild hint of paint and crayons. The finish is very smooth with yeast, biscuits and bitterness.
The carbonation is strong with lots of very smooth bubbles. The liquid is a bit sticky.
My only objection to this beer is that it is a bit too mild and smooth, I would have liked a little more “bite”.
