The colour is straw yellow (6 EBC); the liquid clear. The airy white head is three fingers high, it sinks slowly leaving soma lacing.
The smell is very clean. Some grass/hay in the bitterness. Fragile metallic hints and a very low sweetness.
The taste got a strange off flavour of horses and stable in the start, perhaps even some smoke? It is, however, very weak notes and they fade rather quickly. Otherwise, I find some sweet hints of cereals and a fine crispy bitterness. The body is medium. In the aftertaste, I notice some grass/hay/flowers that really suit the style. The flavours are well balanced and clean with some sweetness and a fine dry bitterness. The finish is clean and bitter.
The carbonation is light to medium; the small bubbles are fresh. The liquid is light.
A fine Pilsener, if it hadn’t been for that off-flavour. A shame, really.
