On-tap at Burdick's Wings West in Kalamazoo, MI
A- Dark roasts, thin ring of foam, some light coming through on the edges.
S- Mostly tart apples, slight vinegar, reminds me of many Flanders Reds I've had. A surprising amount of hops and light dark roasts malts.
T- Matches aroma. The roasts kind of take over more but the sour apple is still there. Again more hops on the finish than I've had in most sours. The sour character is not puckering but clean and crisp.
M- Medium in body, the complex flavors of dark malts, hops, and sour make it a bit of a sipper though.
O- Was pleasantly surprised by this one. The waiter said it was a hoppy brown ale when I asked if it was a sour, he was partially correct. I've only had two other dark sours and this one is more hoppy then the others but still very nice. I don't know if this is a "mistake" beer or not but it was refreshing all the same.

Appearance: a deep brown with reddish hues around the edges. opaque. a bubbly tannish head that leaves a bit of a lacing around the outside.
Smell: starts off with oak and sour dark fruits. quickly turns into a astringent nail polish remover alcohol
Taste: opens up very nicely with soured plums and cherries, some oak characteristics but the backend makes the beer almost undrinkable with astringent alcohol.
Mouthfeel: medium and sticky, huge alcoholic cringe as it finishes.
Overall: i like some of the flavors this beer offers but the balancing and the bit at the end come off in a different way than sour beers should.
