Pours a clear gold color. One inch head of a white color. Good retention and slight lacing. Smells of strong wheat, slight coffee, hint of smoke, pale malt, hint of roasted malt, and a hint of hop. Fits the style of a Hefeweizen. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with a high carbonation level. Tastes of wheat, slight coffee, hint of smoke, pale malt, hint of roasted malt, hint of grass, and a hint of hop. Overall, too carbonated, but great blend for the unusual flavors, complex, and great body.

Pours a very hazy, pineapple colored golden blonde with a 2 finger, fluffy head. Lace left intermittently on the glass as it recedes.
Aromas of fresh wheat, spices, cream of tartar, and mild blonde coffee bean. Metallic aromas permeate as it warms a bit.
Flavor comes off slightly metallic first, yielding to an equal balance of wheat, spices, and very light, bright coffee.
Feel is super carbonated, with some light creaminess and a semi-dry parch.
Overall : Was actually surprised this one was not what I was hoping for. Still not terrible though. Would revisit again.

12 oz. bottle, bottled 03/11/16 printed on the label. Another new one to me from Odd Side Ales - picked up a bunch of singles from the local bottle shop. "Wheat Beer With Coffee Added" Apparently this is a hefeweizen? 4.50% abv listed.
Poured into a Duvel tulip snifter.
A - Pours a cloudy golden-yellow body, some chill haze, some nice dark sediment in the glass, and a finger of frothy white head that falls to a fluffy ring, and leaves a nice surface skimming. Appears adequately carbonated. Looks nice for what it is.
S - A pleasant aroma of decent strength. The golden coffee bean flavors blend nicely with the yeast used here. Notes of the hefe beer base do poke through: crisp wheat / grains, with subtle esters of banana & clove buried under the roasty coffee bean flavor. A pleasant and inviting aroma.
T - Taste follows the nose: smooth creamy golden coffee bean mixes with the golden wheat very nicely, esters of the banana and clove are apparent beneath, lending a unique perspective to this golden coffee ale. Coffee is toasty, with subtle notes of chocolate & lactose apparent, with some subtle yeast-derived fruitiness in the back.
M - Feel is very smooth, crisp, creamy, with good lingering notes of coffee bean & chocolate. Crisp carbonation. Very easy-drinking stuff.
Overall, a nice golden coffee beer from Odd Side. Definitely very unique and flavorful. Would love to see more like this.
