My favorite beer style is American pale, and when I find one locally produced, it’s all mine. This one pours a very light amber, quickly fading head with nice lace retention. hoppy and juicy on the nose, taste follows, citra is prevalent. There is a dryness that is not picked up on the nose and slight alcohol burn on the mouthfeel, all in all a really nice imperial APA

Canned on 6/16/21. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours golden with a subtle haze and subtle clarity; fluffy white head that falls leaving great retention and sticky lacing. The aromas have a subtle blend of breads, caramel, citrus (orange) and malts. The flavors basically follow the nose although they're a bit bolder. More citrus. More orange along with some lemon coming through. There's a nice amount of pine. More breads. More caramel. Some fresh grass in the mix. Moderate bitterness. It's slightly syrupy, but nothing over the top. Malts do their thing. Finishes dry. Alcohol is ultimately well hidden. Mouthfeel is full-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's fluffy, smooth and dangerously drinkable.
This is a solid brew. I appreciate how it does feel like an "Imperial Pale Ale" and not an Imperial IPA. The citra hops are definitely identifiable without completely dominating. It might not be anything super crazy, but it's simply enjoyable and fun to drink. Not bad at all. I like it.

From a 12 OZ can dated 11/20/20 poured firmly into a 16oz wide mouth Ball jar.
Pours a dark amber almost copper unfiltered color, thick head which retains some fluff and has good medium carbonation. Some lacing on the jar.
It's nose is sort of Germanic with hops 1st then maltz. Nothing too outstanding.
Tastes slightly bitter with citra bite then sweet ripe peaches, apricot, lemon, pine, pineapple and caramel. Midway there's a whisper of dry dough malts then a quick flashback to a non-astringent hop scene. It dries out somewhat at the end leaving a tea leaf and lemongrass tang on the tongue.
It's mouthfeel is creamy, oily, medium dank, med bodied and a little chewy. Balanced and bold but not intense at all for being 9%ABV imperial single hop ale. That % is camouflaged by hoplication. Very enjoyable and quite a relaxer!

Pours deep copper in color. Little to no head. Nose is citrusy, hops with a slight smell I can't put by finger on...not a bad one, just can't put my finger on it. Taste is very good. Love the bitterness that comes through.

There was once a time that the use of Citra hops was a cure-all for anything IPA. But the mere use of this hop variety no longer means that its the universal cheat code for hoppy beer. For Odd Side Ales, the struggle is real.
Light honey amber and shade greater than gold, Hoplicated builds a creamy satin froth before greeting the nose with toasted citrus, fine herb and hints of stone fruit. As the first sip leans in, a maltier focus takes hold with light honey, caramel and cashew to insinuate granola.
Then the Citra hops meander through the lingering malts and eventually become the focus of flavor at mid-palate. Oranges, red grapefruit, cantaloup, mango and apricot pull from the hops and align with the caramelized sweetness for a slightly bruised peach character. Trending herbal on the finish, the beer takes on a botanical bite with lemongrass, verbena, sassafras, peppery grasses and hemp.
Medium bodied and caught somewhere between hazy and dry, this IPA doesn't seem to have a clear direction about where it wants to go style-wise or flavor-wise. Although off-crisp, off-clean and pleasant enough, its not juicy enough to enjoy full appreciation of flavor, or isn't dry enough to be refreshing. Still, a pretty nice beer with a malty-dry finish and a linger of stone fruit.

Pours a very cloudy golden amber color with a thick foamy head. Head retention is very good, as is lacing. The aroma has a nice caramel maltiness with a fresh citrus aroma. Slight piney resin with some sweetness. Nice malty backbone on the taste with caramel, sweet citrus, and piney resin. Light to medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. Very good if I do say so myself.

i believe this one is all citra, which makes the name sort of weird, i would think hoplicated would imply complicated hops, which would of course suggest the use of a whole mess of varietals, but to me it mostly smells and tastes like citra, which obviously isnt a bad thing at all, and the beer is really good. the bitterness isnt real intense, which makes the flavor a little sweet starting in the middle and staying through the finish, but its not particularly malty from a flavor standpoint, so i dont mind a little sweetness carrying the citra oiliness and meyer lemony goodness a little longer than it might last in a drier beer. the booze is pretty well hidden until it warms up a bit, which is not uncommon, but this is better cold than ambient thats for sure. carbonation is good and it keeps the beer feeling lively and energetic which i like in the strong hoppy beers. good freshness too, im sure thats a key factor in this one, for some reason citra seems to me to hold up less well than other varietals in this sort of thing. not as weird and adventurous as a lot of odd side beers, but a nice beer nevertheless!

Copper colored with an inch of frothy, creamy, light beige. The aroma is of citrus and light, crackery, malt. I'm tasting a nice blend of tangerine, citrus, and light, crackery, malt. The mouth is resinous and a touch thick, chewy, and chalky in texture.
