12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 6/24/2016. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy pale straw/yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big lemon, lime, berry, orange peel, pear, apple, chamomile, peppercorn, light cinnamon/clove, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, fruit peel/spices, and moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big lemon, lime, berry, orange peel, pear, apple, chamomile, peppercorn, light cinnamon/clove, wheat, cracker, light honey, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal bitterness, yeast spiciness, and citrus peel tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, lime, berry, orange peel, pear, apple, chamomile, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, and floral/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, fruit peel/spices, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/tart/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitter/spiciness as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very nice witbier. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, fruit peel/spices, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

I picked up a bottle of Oddside's Chicka Chicka Yeah last week for $1.89 at The Lager Mill. I'm always down to try a new beer from Oddsides and while I'm not a big chamomile fan I still think it's worth trying, so lets see how it goes. 2016 Vintage. Poured from a brown 12oz bottle Weizen glass.

A- The label look good, it's got a nice design and it's eye catching. It poured a hazy pale yellow color that took on more of a brighter yellow color when held to the light with a little under a fingers worth of creamy slightly bubbly off white head that died down to a thin ring that faded away and it left just a little bit of patchy lacing behind. This is a pretty nice looking beer, but I wish the head and lacing were better.

S- The aroma starts off with a medium amount of sweetness with a doughy aroma being the first to show up and that's followed by a doughy, bready, grainy and wheat aromas. Up next comes a little bit of a lighter citrus rind aromas with lemon peel sticking out t he most. Towards the end comes the spices which impart a mixed spices aroma with the peppercorn seeming to stick out the most and I only get a little bit of that chamomile. This beer had a nice aroma, but nothing really stands out besides a little peppercorn and lemon peel.

T- The taste seems to be a little similar to the aroma, but it's much lighter and it starts off with a medium amount of sweetness with those doughy and malty aspects being the first to show up and they impart all those aspects that they did in the aroma, but they are just a little lighter. Up next comes a little bit of lemon peel with just a little bit of spices showing up towards the end. On the finish there's a little more lemon with a little sweetness and light bitterness with a wheat, malty and light lemon peel aftertaste with some tingling on my tongue from the peppercorn. This beer is just ok tasting, none of the flavors really pop and for the most part it was a little bland with some weird tingly feelings.

M- Smooth, a little tingly pretty crisp, dry on the finish, on the lighter side of being medium bodied with a higher amount of medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is nice, but I could go without that tingly sensation.

Overall I wasn't a big fan of this beer and I thought it was a little below average for the style, I thought the Wheat ale base flavors were on the lighter side and the the main ingredients that were advertised didn't bring much to the table. This beer didn't have good drinkability, one is enough for me. What I like the most about this beer is the appearance, it's a pretty nice looking beer. What I like the least about this beer is the taste and drinkability, there weren't as good as I was hoping and they need some work. I wouldn't b uy this beer again and I think I would turn it down, I don't recommend this beer unless you want a pretty light tasting wheat beer with a tingly finish. All in all I wasn't impressed with this one, oddsides takes a lot of risks and in the end this was one of that never really paid off and it was ok try once, but it isn't something that I'm going to revisit. It's now one of my least favorite Oddsides beers and it's below average for the style. Better luck next time guys, this one needs some work.
