Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a hazy yellow-amber color with a small head of white foam. The head fades rather fast leaving a touch of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is huge of a tropical fruit smell (tangerine, papaya, and mango) mixed with a hearty showing of a passion-fruit smell. Along with these aromas comes a touch of grapefruit and a hint of herb.
Taste – The taste begins with a slightly sweeter tropical fruit and passion-fruit flavor as one may have expected from the nose. There is a bit of a grapefruit and herbal hop upfront, and as the taste advances the former hop flavor gets quite a bit more potent. At the same time some of the tropical fruit flavors get a bit weaker in nature with the exception of the tangerine, which gets stronger. With all the transitions that occur throughout the taste, one is left with a grapefruit hop and very tangerine and passion-fruit heavy tastes to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is average in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather high. For the mix of grapefruit hop and the big tangerine and passion-fruit sweetness the feel is great and makes for a very easy sipping brew.
Overall – A nice and tasty IPA overall. Not really all that dank however, but more grapefruity and sweet. Even so it is very approachable and drinkable and well worth a try.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a thick foamy head. Head retention is good. Lacing is very good. Juicy tropical aroma with slight resin. There is a lot of passion fruit on the taste. A little too sweet. Small amount of piney bitterness on the end. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Very nice and refreshing IPA from a local brewery that’s always innovative and exciting. Canned date 9/11/19. Pours a slightly hazy yellow color with a little white cap of head and some spotty lingering lacing. Smells brightly of tropical hops - passion fruit (as billed), but also grapefruit, pineapple, orange, mango and melon. Also malt, weaker floral hops and vanilla. Taste follows the nose, great balance and juiciness. Really flavorful. Smooth slightly creamy mouthfeel, slightly soft, good carbonation. Very enjoyable!

Loved the tangerine dank juice so was totally pumped to try this version.
A - Rather hazy looking IPA has some floaties and a massive full inch of frothy head that sits atop.
S - Not very bitter mostly sweet melon and passion fruit juice. Smell is excellent.
T - Hoppy and bitter with a nice underlining sweetness that kicks in the end from the juice. Mild lingering hops throughout. Liking this a touch less since it's not as sweet as I expected it to be.
M - Fairly crisp and highly drink able.
Overall a nice variation of this but I think tangerine works better since the fruit is a touch bitter and works with the beer. This one works as well but seeing Passion Fruit I expected a tad more sweeter. Halfway though it does mend pretty good though!

Chasing the hazy trends, Odd Side Ales hits the New England styled IPA hard on the heels of the most herbaceous, botanical and hemp driven hops on the planet. Throw in a healthy heaping dose of passionfruit and we have a can't-miss beer on our tongue.
Very hazy gold, but not quite of the turbid nature that we've become accustomed to in these hazy ales, a tall and fluffy head begins to build. A tangy perfume of tropical fruit, citrus and herb wafts about the nose in a strong herbal sherbet kind of way. Early sweetness is candied and pastry-like with hints of honey, pulled candy and faint honey along with a light and savory crusted character.
But then the hops take over on the middle palate even though the malt flavors simmer strongly underneath. The natural flavors of orange, pink grapefruit and lime link up with the passionfruit additions seamlessly before the tropical trends take hold. Mango, pineapple, kiwi and gooseberry, all of the under ripened variety supports the added fruit quite well into a moderately bitter bite of grasses, straw and hemp.
Medium light on the palate, the light fruit acidity adds to the beer's tangy impressions to lighten the body and combat the linger of grain starches and sweetness. Drier than usual for the style, a great sense of refreshment, drinkability and crispness roll into a gin-like sprucy spice late in aftertaste. But its lightness exposes some of the rougher grain tannins and the pectin sharpness of fruit.

Poured from 12oz can into glass. Stamped canning date on label is '10/17/17'.
Hazy, straw colored body. Three finger frothy white head settles to cap and ring. Some spots and strings of lacing.
Aroma of passion fruit, orange citrus, and melon.
Taste of passion fruit and orange. Some malt balance.
Medium mouth feel.
An IPA beer that is not sweet and not bitter. Totally crushable, hides the 7% ABV.

The beer is a light not quite transparent yellow, pours smoothly. You get an immediate smell of hoppy, passion fruit, with hints of citrus, though the passion fruit comes through the strongest.
As far as taste goes, I primarily get Passion Fruit and a hoppy tang.
It’s not particularly creamy, but it’s not overly carbonated or zippy, good balance.
