Appearance - Pours slightly hazy and orange in color with an off-white, near finger's width head. Fair retention, resulting in a thin, broken layer of suds sitting atop. Lots of sediment floating about.
Smell - Fruity aroma; citrusy with some pineapple with a hint of pine and mango/guava.
Taste - Follows the nose. Orange and grapefruit with big time mango and guava sitting beneath that initial citrus burst. Light, acidic pineapple bite develops near the finish. Hint of dankness and white bread sweetness. The finish and aftertaste are mostly sweet, with hints of citrus pith bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with moderate, tingly carbonation. Fair enough drinker for a 9.9% brew, with a dry finish.
Overall - Pretty darn tasty DIPA. and while it's not the smoothest drinker, it does well to hide the 9.9% ABV. I've got a few more left and I'm sure I'll enjoy them.
