A mixed fermentation wheat ale barrel aged for 6-12 months, then re-fermented with Michigan white grape must and aged for an additional 6 months. Fruit forward aroma of honey and marmalade. Medium body with sharp citrus and wheat finish.

Copper colored with a fairly clear complexion. There's a fingernail of minuscule beige bubbles around most of the rim. The aroma is of granny smith apples and white wine grapes. I'm tasting a light pear to gentle chardonnay flavor. The mouth is moderately carbonated, dry, and crisp.

Amazingly super sour with flavors of white wine, grapes, and lemons. Super acidic and one to cherish and sip slow as it is really really sour, then again might be due to it being aged yet have no idea how old it is but does age well.

500 ml bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours slightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart/sour lemon, lime, peach, pear, green apple, melon, green grape, white wine, fruit skin, hay, straw, grass, oak, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with lighter notes of vanilla, leathery/musty funk, white wine vinegar, pepper, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, grapes, pale malt, and oak barrel notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/sour lemon, lime, peach, pear, green apple, melon, green grape, white wine, fruit skin, hay, straw, grass, oak, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with lighter notes of vanilla, leathery/musty funk, white wine vinegar, pepper, and yeast/oak earthiness. Moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness; light yeast/oak spiciness and fruit tang on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/sour lemon, lime, peach, pear, green apple, melon, green grape, white wine, fruit skin, hay, straw, grass, oak, wheat, cracker, white bread, vanilla, light leather/vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, grapes, pale malt, and oak barrel flavors; with an awesome malt/sourness and tangy fruit balance. Touch of increasing pucker, but not overwhelming. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tart/sourness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/acidic, and fairly tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6%. Overall this is an outstanding fruited sour/wild ale. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, grapes, pale malt, and oak barrel flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly lactic/tangy/tannic/drying finish. Awesome well rounded Brett/Lacto complexity, great fruit/oak presence, and balancing malts against acidity. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
