The pour is copper colored with a fair amount of carbonation. The taste is sweet roasted malt, caramel, with a touch of burnt brown sugar. Cheers! B

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, tan head of bubbly foam. It left behind little to no lacing. It smelled of roasted malt, toffee and subtle coffee notes. Nice roasted malt taste with toffee, caramel and a mild bitterness.

12oz can stamped MFG 08/11/21 (less than a month old) poured into a dimpled mug at 61° Fahrenheit 5.6% ABV per can label. The beer pours bright light copper in color with fizzy off white head. The head recedes to a thin ring and little else. No lacing. The aroma is faint with malty caramel. The taste is semisweet burnt sugar caramel with some toasted notes and earthy hop flavor. Moderate bitterness. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation and a somewhat dry finish. Fairly clean lagering. Overall, good.

Pours a clear golden copper color. Smell was malty wth caramel and bread notes. Taste has caramel, brown sugar baked bread malts with some spices like nutmeg, A medium mouth feel malty and semi sweet, drinkable and not memorable.

Can. Caramel gold color. Not much head.

Not the best fest beer. Kind of bland and boring and not up to the traditional German fest beers. Some toffee, caramel, and bready malts. Earthy hops.

On tap at brewery:
Pours a light brown/dark amber with a decently large barely off-white head. A cap is maintained the whole pour, providing large striations of lace.

Nose is moderately light, but comes to me like a spiced bread. The medium dark bread has just a hint of light brown sugar, and some other more biting spice (clove/allspice, perhaps). Again, these aren’t prominent, more impressions.

Taste isn’t a surprise given the nose, but has a bit less bread, part of which seems traded in for a little earthiness. Brown sugar never really hits, as there is no more than the slightest malt sweetness. Earthy spices like those from the nose join a moderately carbonated brew (I’ve noticed many beers by this brewer have a carbonation that’s just a little too strong) to bring a little bite and a little numbing dullness right after.

A decent, earthy/spice-influenced hop countering offering, to my palate.
