-brewed w/ lactose, passion fruit, and mango.

A: Hazy tangerine color shows a good rush of carbonation. Frothy white head lies at one half inch with a moderate rate of stay. Small speckled spots are few and far between on the glass walls.

S: Small touch of sour fruitiness, passion fruit, kiwi-strawberry and pear-mango highlights. Sugary cereal grains with lactose. Mid level awareness, moderate tone throughout, more laid back and relaxed.

T: Sour fruit of pear-mango and passion fruit for flavor. Lightly dry crisp pale grain backing, with some tart lemon-grapefruit sourness. Fruity finish of bright passion fruit and a touch of sour apples.

M: Medium body, smooth, creamy feel, lightly dry with a tart sour lacing.

O: Taste like a Berlinerweiss, listed as a wild ale, with the name and notion of a NEIPA. Label of popsicles and passion fruit led me to think this was a NEIPA when i picked it up. Nice subtle sourness blends well with the drink. A solid good beer.

Happy Return, MKII, to What "New" Beers Have We Here Sunday (Week 750)? The CANQuest (tm) is rolling along at high speed & now, having been duly CANspired by @Jimmy_Kneecaps I am taking a walk on the Odd Side, next to Lou Reed.

From the CAN: "Mixed fermentation ale brewed with Lactose. Passionfruit and Mango added."

Lactose makes me lachrymose, but I pressed on all the same. I could hardly CANtain my excitement in CANducting my Crack! of the vent, but somehow, I prevailed. I went with an initial slow, gentle C-Line Glug since I wanted to see if I could get any clarity in this one. I get that it is probably supposed to be at least hazy, but I left enough in the CAN to play with. This was a bit more like it! It foamed up to create just over a finger of fizzy, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with modest retention. Color was an oh-so-slightly-hazy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 -5). Nose was SO redolent with passionfruit & mango that it was tough to tell where one ended & the other beCAN! Mmm. Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium, not watery, but not much past it. The taste was MUCH more tart than the previous one had been! The fruits were working well in CANjunction, but boy howdy, were they tart! I remained unable to differentiate between the two since they melded so well. This was a very tasty, tropical drink, to be sure. Finish was tart & dry, very refreshing on a hot, humid Summer's night.

Now, for the lees pour. I swirled & agitated what remained in the CAN in preparation for this last Glug. Not a lot of difference in/on this one. Nose & color/clarity remained CANstant. Mouthfeel increased slightly. Tartness increased a couple-fold. Finish was still tart & dry. Yum!

Can to snifter.

LOOK: beer. yellow color, white head. nothing special, no real defects.
AROMA: mango, sour passion fruit, general tropical and sour smells.
TASTE: passion fruit rules here. not very complex.
FEEL: thin, weak, very light body.

Good flavors and aromatics, but not necessarily a good beer. That being said....best i've had today so far.

Tasted in a Rastal Teku from 12 fl oz can on September 30, 2018. A tart yet refreshing blend of passionfruit and mango brewed with lactose. Recommended.

Pours slightly cloudy Orange. Foamy, medium White head that Fades fast.

Smells fruity, tart green apple, peachy passion fruit and wheat.

Taste mango, passionfruit, citrusy lemon, tart fruit. Finish is dry with a fruit and light Funk linger. Lighter medium body and fizzy lower carbonation.

Pours golden with a look that makes it appear thick, but it isn't. The nose hints at citrus and something else I can't narrow down...suppose it is the passion fruit.Taste is kind of sour and sweet at the same time. Decent beer.

Released summer 2018; drank 7/27/18 @ the Yarchives.

Cloudy yellow/orange appearance.

A violent pour yielded a huge white head; decent lace.

Passionfruit, wheat & faint burnt barley notes in the nose.

Medium thin mouthfeel.

Passionfruit & mild dry wheat flavors up front; mango notes on the finish. A nice fruit beer.

The popularity of sour ale sees no end in sight. But the astute team of 18th Street brewers take the irresistible taste of mango and passionfruit and roll them into the mixed fermentation character of sour ale for a tantalizing tartness with exotic fruit flavor.

Drawing close close comparisons to creamisicle, Passionfruit Mango Fruitsicle pours canary yellow with a firm haze and a fluffy white crown. Fruity aromas of under ripened tropical fruit tease the nose with a light and tangy scent of fruit punch. Bright and breaming with simple pastry sweetness, a taste of spongecake comes with honey and light cane syrup.

Sweetness stews gently on the middle palate before fading into a creamy dry finish. Meanwhile its a hoppy taste that brings a grapefruity citrus character and a light pineapple tropical flavor before the additions of mango and passionfruit bring their own succulent and tangy flavor along with suggestions of agave, guava and papaya. A light chivy grassiness comes with a tart late palate of under ripened berry, cider and gooseberry.

Medium light on the palate, the finish comes with a creaminess of vanilla and sweet cream for a taste of pulled candy, sherbet with the tangy tartness of dry white wine and fermented fruit for a clean, crisp and crowd pleasing hot weather refresher course.
