12 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy ruby red/orange/light pink color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy cherries, pomegranate, cranberry, strawberry, fruit skin, black currant, lemon, pear, green apple, melon, red grape, hay, grass, vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, biscuit, light lacto/Brett funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, fruit, lactose, and pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy cherries, pomegranate, cranberry, strawberry, fruit skin, black currant, lemon, pear, green apple, melon, red grape, hay, grass, vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, biscuit, light lacto/Brett funk, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity/lactic tartness and fruit tang on the finish. Lingering notes of juicy/tart/tangy cherries, pomegranate, cranberry, strawberry, fruit skin, black currant, lemon, pear, green apple, melon, red grape, hay, grass, vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, biscuit, light lacto/Brett funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, fruit, lactose, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/tartness and tangy fruit balance; and zero cloying/puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tartness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and fairly crisp/acidic/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is an excellent fruited milkshake sour! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, fruit, lactose, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the mellowly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish. Very flavorful for the low ABV. This one was a bit more tart/tangy/drying than most others with all the dark fruits, but just as impressive. Nicely jammy fruit, balanced milkshake-like sweetness; and solid Brett/lacto complexity like the rest. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example as expected.

Pours red. Foamy, medium, pinkish head that Fades fast.

Smells Cherry, dark fruit, currant and funk.

Taste sweet cherry, tart dark fruit, bready malts, light Funk and light currant. Finishes dry with a cherry linger. Medium body and fizzy medium carbonation.

 

 

 

A - Pours a light hazed deep ruby red with a fizzy pink head. The head recedes quickly leaving some light spotty lacing.

S - Aroma is cherry, pomegranate and wheat.

T - The taste is sweet cherries, pomegranate, black currant, green apple skin, biscuity malts and wheat.

M - Light body with medium carbonation. Soft mouthfeel with a crisp finish.

O - This is a pretty tasty fruited sour. The flavors are light and refreshing. Easy drinking warm weather beer.
