Golden with white head, that dissipates quickly. Nose is pineapple, however so lightly. Taste is smooth, especially given the APV. Good stuff by Odd Side.

I'm no professional taster, but this one does it for me. It's light where you want it and gnarly where it counts. Easy drink, a bit on the sour side. Could be modified to make a decent sour.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a thin foamy head. Head retention is good as is lacing. Tropical citrus aroma with some tropical passion fruit. Stronger passion fruit on the taste. Mild citrus. Very mild bitterness on the end. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

A thanks to the commander of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a hazy, golden/orange color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of tropical fruits. Taste is citrus, lactose, light tropical fruits, moderate bitterness. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.

The CANQuest (tm) is rolling along at high speed & now, having been duly CANspired by @Jimmy_Kneecaps I am taking a walk on the Odd Side, next to Lou Reed. This will be my last one for the foreseeable future! 8=(
From the CAN: "No Hesitation No Surrender"; "India Pale Ale with Lactose."
This represents an S.I.W. on the brewery's part since they are the ones that identify it as an AIIPA/ADIPA. I am going to review it as such, but the Lactose is really going to hurt its scores, IMHO.
I beCAN by Crack!ing open the vent & CANtinuing with a slow, steady, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. As it became obvious that any attempts on my part to maintain or create clarity were worthless, I increased the flow rate & watched as it came puffing up to form two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, tawny head with moderate retention that left a load of lacing in its wake. Color was a cloudy Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9). Nose smelled very tropical fruity, but given the hops used, I would have liked it to be less reliant on Mosaic. Mouthfeel was medium, but creamy, thanks to the addition of Lactose. It seemed to be a bit light for an AIIPA/ADIPA. The taste was rather hot, very boozy with a tropical fruit emphasis. Other reviewers have mentioned an inherent sweetness & I CANnot help but agree with their assessment. This was not making it in terms of their chosen style. Finish remained hot, boozy & dry as a result, but it just did not live up to the expectation that their other beers had created in & for me. A swing & a miss. YMMV.
