Received from @BigIronH in the NBS BIF. Canned on 8/30/2022. Poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass. It pours a slightly hazy, bright golden-yellow with a very large, fluffy, bright white cap and thick, clinging lacing. The nose is big and floral with lemon, grapefruit, and some sweeter tropical notes. It opens with a strong dose of fairly sweet malt and candied fruit. The sweet fruit is hard to identify specifically but it's balanced by lemon and grapefruit rind. There is dry bitterness throughout. I checked the brewery's webside but the hop bill isn't shown. This ale is moderate in body with fairly lively carbonation, and it drinks big at 9.5% ABV. You can feel the alcohol. The BA data indicates the style is New England IPA but to me it has much more of a West Coast appearance and taste. It's a solid DIPA from an excellent brewer.

I have done a couple of deep dives into Odd Side Ales in the past as a part of The CANQuest (tm), but after each time that I finish, more seem to arrive in southcentral PA as part of our distro! This represents yet CANother such ocCANsion.
From the CAN: "Double Dank Juice Double Dry Hopped Imperial India Pale Ale"; "Imperial IPA double dry hopped to create a slightly hazy beer rich in juicy tropical notes and aromas."
I was CANurious as to just how "slightly hazy" this one was going to be, so following the Crack! of the vent, I went with a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. First, I was met with the formation of just under two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, eggshell-white head with very good retention which left behind great lacing as it fell. SeCANd, I was met by The Gelt Gang of Croesus, Midas & Mammon who could not detect any haze in this Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7) beer with seemingly NE-quality clarity. Hmm. Nose smelled of grapefruit CANmingled with tropical fruits such as papaya and guava. Mmm. Mouthfeel was medium-to-full, not quite creamy & on the low end of/for the style. Note: it is an Imperial/Double IPA, NOT an NEIPA. ChANge request sent. The taste was much better than their verbiage had led me to expect. Instead of being totally tropical and fruity, it had a pleasant citrusy bitterness of especially grapefruit to acCANpony the sweeter tropical fruitiness that the brewery tried to make the focus. Finish was semi-dry and quite pleasant throughout. It was a dangerously easy-drinking beer, given its ABV. It all just left me CANurious about their intent - was this what they were going for? Did their copy writer(s) miss something? Or did I? It was a head-scratching CANundrum. YMMV.

Amped up and ramped up, Dirty Dank Juice's big brother comes to town and he brings his extra big bag of Cheetos and is primed for an extra long nap because this guy is doubly dank!
Even more hazy and just as pale, the Double Dank Juice pours a pastel golden amber, and comes with a familiar haze that's complete with the turbid nature of hazy IPA. Its frothy eggshell foam precedes a bold aromatic display of citrus, tropical fruit and grassiness, much like that of his Dirty little brother. Sweetness of cereal, light honey and a mild cashew brings out an early but bold malt influence.
As the malts slowly recede, the hops flavors grain prominence over the fledgling sweetness through the middle palate. Red grapefruit, orange, mango and apricot begin to reinforce the fruitiness that's found in the scent before a late palate of smooth but stern bitterness comes with an herbal chive, pine and floral geranium-like finish. Yet overall, there's a cannabis-driven bite with a softer vanilla-like balance.
Medium-full in bodied and trending malty-dry, the hop dominant ale is playfully dank and juicy, but not unlike many other hazy imperial status ales on the market. It is a highly drinkable, plump and resinous IPA that lingers with the taste of citrus peels and pine resins in a New England kind of way.

Pours a slightly hazy light orangish yellow with a thick white head. Nice retention and decent lacing. Aroma is a mix of tropical and citrus fruits. Flavor follows the nose sweet fruit with a little bit of a hop bitterness in the finish. Feel is creamy and smooth, lightly carbonated. Overall a very nice beer with it's high ABV well hiden.

2-week-old fan poured into a wine glass (I’m in a hotel room).
The only other "Dank Juice" I think I've had is Dirty Dank. And I recall thinking it was really good, but not great. This one is really great. One of the best looking and feeling beers I've had in a while. And massively dank, weedy, resiny, and bready. I get a ton of berries and overripe red grapes alongside the usual citrus, stone fruit, and tropical fruit notes. Big mineral and herbal notes, as well. But the piney-ness -- which usually isn't big in these juicy beers -- is really unique.
Outstanding all around.

A good all around IPA brew. I liked it more than I thought I would, not being aa NEIPA fan. This had a good hop bite to it and is something I would drink again for sure.
