12 ounce bottle into a tulip snifter. Bottled 4/20/19, had 6/27/19.
Pours a mostly clear golden orange, with a one and a half inch foamy head with good retention and a good amount of foamy lacing. Aromas of cinnamon, bourbon, caramel, vanilla, bananas, biscuit, brown sugar, light malt, light cream. The flavor shakes out pretty much the same- cinnamon, bourbon, bananas, vanilla, brown sugar, some malt and caramel, some pine, a little herbal taste, light cream. Tastes a little bready. Smooth, a good medium body, well carbonated.
The cinnamon and bananas are the standouts, the barrels show solid support. Well balanced, not as sweet as you would expect, real banana flavor. This is oddly compelling and nails the bananas foster concept. No spoon required. Very enjoyable and well worth a try.

Pours a dark burnt-orange with a turbid, murky consistency. Head is a finger of khaki foam that retains well. Aroma is bananas, nuts, syrup, molasses, vanilla bean and a little bourbon. It's sharp, hitting the nose quickly then disappearing. What hits is sweet and notable. Flavor profile is banana, nuts, vanilla bean, molasses, maple syrup and bourbon. It's sugar forward, creating more of a dessert beer than anything else. Malts are toasty, caramely and nutty. There is a kiss of booze at the finish with bourbon seeping through the edges. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a frail creaminess. Overall, sugary with strong banana qualities. It is exactly as the label implies.
Served in a 15.5oz Speigelau tulip from a 12oz bottle.

Golden clear pour with lacing on the surface. Smell has banana, tons of bourbon, cinnamon, slight caramel malts, and some grains, very boozy and slightly sweet. Taste is hot with bourbon and wood, but the banana, cinnamon, and vanilla come through, the caramel malts are barely there. Feel is hot, boozy, and thinner but not bright. Good summertime dessert beer

12oz bottle, snifter glass. Opaque darker copper brown body. One finger offwhite head. Good collar and nice lacing. Smell is sweet cinnamon and lactose, touch of banana, caramel. It's pretty much dessert diabetes in a glass. Moderate bourbon presence too, light vanillin and more sugar. Flavour follows- although it has a slight bit of heat, presumably from the bourbon barrel, but the cinnamon and bananas work well together, big sweet brown sugar and caramel backbone- that's distinctly actual caramel and not so much the toffee and caramel you'd get from malt. Medium lighter bodied, slightly syrupy on the backend, sweet caramel and lactose on the finish that sticks around and really lingers.
