L: Hazy gold under a 1/2" off-white cap with poor retention.
S: big tropical fruit smell with some pie crust.
T: Kettle sour balances the NE IPA flavors and makes them more interesting while the beer's tropical fruit character softens the tartness.
F: medium body, medium carbonation, medium high tartness.
O: Tart, refreshing, well balanced and easy to drink.

Kettle sour meets NEIPA here. Pours a hazed golden color with a thin white head. smell was faintly sour with some citrus notes. Taste was like APA with very little tartness or sourness, some crisp floral/citrus hops with a bready caramel malt finish. mouth feel was bland with neither kettle or neipa characteristics , not a fan off this one.

Hazed yellow gold — but quite clear for a NEIPA — with strong effervescence down the center and two fingers of near-white head that are relatively quick to dissipate and leave spotty lacing.
Lightly sour aroma with some distant tropical fruitiness and yeasty must.
Nice middle-of-the-road sourness and watercracker malt in the taste, with a relatively clean finish that leaves just a little tropical fruit and melon sweetness, touch of citrus and hint of mushroom-like fungality lingering into the aftertaste.
Lightly syrupy in the feel with some moderate, slow-building fizziness.
A very pleasant, refreshing beer with a surprising amount of depth that’s perhaps mischaracterized as an IPA. At various times I picked up flashes of pineapple, guava, tangerine, raspberry, lime, lemon, green apple skin, water crackers, white bread, grass, pine, pepper and mushrooms — but mostly zephyr-like and distant.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 11/28/2018. Pours fairly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lightly tart/tangy lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, red/green apple, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, light lacto funk, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lightly tart/tangy lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, red/green apple, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, light lacto funk, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness; and lactic tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, red/green apple, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, light lacto funk, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness and tart/tangy balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitter/tartness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and fairly sticky/acidic/tangy mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is a delicious sour NEIPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly acidic/sticky/drying finish. Nice soft feel, not over tart or bitter either way. Great balance of juicy/fairly dank hops and Lacto complexity; with a nice wheat/oat/malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness from lingering dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made hybrid style example as expected.
