Not my favorite of the series. Watermelon is a tough fruit in that it doesn’t punch a ton of flavor or tartness or body. This series seems to work better with berries or tropical citrus. In any event, look is pale straw and a touch cloudy. Smell is light watermelon and some citrus tart. Taste brings a touch of the lime tartness, very faint watermelon. Feel isn’t quite as pillowy as others in the series. Overall it is fine, but not remarkable for me.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 6/17/2019. Pours very hazy pale golden yellow/light pink color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy watermelon, cucumber, lime, fruit skin/seed, citrus zest, lemon, peach, pear, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light peppercorn/musty/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of watermelon, lime, fruity/acidic/spicy yeast, lactose, and pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy watermelon, cucumber, lime, fruit skin/seed, citrus zest, lemon, peach, pear, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light peppercorn/musty/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, zesty bitterness, and Brett spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of juicy/tart/tangy watermelon, cucumber, lime, fruit skin/seed, citrus zest, lemon, peach, pear, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light peppercorn/musty/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of watermelon, lime, fruity/acidic/spicy yeast, lactose, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/lactose, and tart/bitter/spiciness balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering tart/tangy/bitter/spiciness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky/acidic/tangy mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is an excellent fruited session milkshake sour. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of watermelon, lime, fruity/acidic/spicy yeast, lactose, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, refreshing, and fairly crisp to drink with the mellowly acidic/tangy/bitter/spicy/drying finish. Great soft feel, and not overly lactic. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Awesome balance of authentic/vibrant fruits and Brett/Lacto complexity; with a great balanced lactose, and pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Mild residual sweetness with crisp drying. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive style example as expected. Whole series has been consistently enjoyable.
