12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 8/8/2019. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy golden/orange/amber color with a small dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/lightly tart/tangy strawberries, lime, fruit skin/seed, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, sea salt, honey, agave, tequila, toasted oak, graham cracker, and biscuit dough; with lighter notes of vanilla, toffee, peppercorn, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of strawberries, limes, fruity yeast, agave, tequila barrels, sea salt, bready malts, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/lightly tart/tangy strawberries, lime, fruit skin/seed, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, sea salt, honey, agave, tequila, toasted oak, graham cracker, and biscuit dough; with lighter notes of vanilla, toffee, peppercorn, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness; fruit tang/tartness, and barrel tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart strawberries, lime, fruit skin/seed, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, sea salt, honey, agave, tequila, toasted oak, graham cracker, biscuit dough, peppercorn, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of strawberries, limes, fruity yeast, agave, tequila barrels, sea salt, bready malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness, spicy oak, and tart/tangy fruit balance; with no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness, oak spiciness, and tart/tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, fairly sticky/tangy/tannic, and lightly slick/saline mouthfeel that is great. Mild increasing warmth of 10%, with minimal lingering barrel booze after the finish. Overall this is an awesome barrel aged imperial blonde ale. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of limes, fruity yeast, agave, tequila barrels, sea salt, bready malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the big ABV, with the mellowly bitter/tannic/drying finish. Great soft feel for the ABV. Awesome balance of juicy/vibrant fruit, rich malts, fruity yeast, and tequila barrel presence/integration; with solid earthy hops. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive experimental style example as expected. Not overwhelming on any aspect. Right on par with the rest of the series.
