Pours a dark brown color with a small head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of chocolate, caramel and roasted malts. Taste is slightly salty with a smoky, almost burnt, flavour. Has a bourbon warmth to it.

12oz bottle from Beverage Warehouse. Poured into a tulip glass
Look: deep brown, one finger light tan head. Some lacing, thin ring and a few clouds. Nice. 3.75
Nose: bourbon, char, caramel in about equal portions. 4.0
Taste: caramel, deep roast Smokey malt, maple, oak, bourbon. Didn’t really notice the salt. Maybe not an ATF but very good. 4.25
Feel: moderate carbonation, medium body, very smooth. 3.75
Overall: I really enjoyed this. The smoke, bourbon and caramel are well balanced and even with the high ABV, it’s a very drinkable beer. Would/will buy another. 4.0
