The can I poured into my glass was packaged about 26 months ago: 1/30/23
So take that into consideration.
The pour was stout black with a half inch beige head that took its time dissipating.
The taste was at best, muddled- I definitely waited too long to drink this. That said, what remains is quite tasty; a little nuttiness, some chocolate, a touch of lactose and some vanilla all present themselves at different points. The bourbon rather surrounds those flavors but doesn’t dominate.
The feel is considerably thinner than I expected, almost no viscosity at all, making it far too easy to drink in bigger sips than the ABV calls for.
OA, if I find it again I’ll buy a fresh one and amend my review. But if you are sitting on one with whiskers, don’t be afraid to drink it. It’s not great, but it’s a very long way from bad.

Canned 1/30/23
After a short break, we’re back to BigIronH’s BIF box. Tonight we have a Stout with quite the laundry list of adjuncts. These super adjuncted Stouts make me weary sometimes, but all the stuff Harley has sent me from Odd Side so far has been great, so I think this will be of similar quality. Let’s crack it open and find out
Pours a very dark brown with 2 fingers of creamy tan head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
The coconut seems to be the most prevalent adjunct in the nose, but it’s surprisingly not overbearing. I’m picking up on aromas of raw coconut, chocolate fudge, sweet caramel, black cherry, toasted oak, vanilla frosting, light walnut, and molasses
There’s a flash of sweetness immediately in taste, but it fades into a really nice nuttiness. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting chocolate fudge, raw coconut, black cherry, brown sugar, toasted pecan, sweet vanilla, and caramel. The swallow brings notes of toasted pecan, walnut, vanilla frosting, milk chocolate, macadamia, brown sugar, and sweet caramel
A medium full body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a smooth beer. Finishes neutral and sweet
This one is solid all around. A bit sweet but isn’t that the point?

Solid head production and decent retention.
Potent, rich, sweet, delectable aroma; this thing is a wave of flavor. It's impossible to pick apart some of the individual notes when there's such a kitchen sink approach to additives, but I do notice bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, cream, macadamia, pecan, caramel, whipped cream, coconut ... you know what, on second thought, maybe I do notice everything. It's ridiculous and over the top, but at the same time marvelous and intriguing.
Surprisingly thin and bitter on the palate. A fair amount of the flavors come through, but it's much sharper, less rich, than the nose portended. It tastes quite a bit like a pancake topped with tons of nuts and a dollop of whipped cream, but only the tiniest (and quite insufficient) dose of syrup.
A bit of heat on the finish, but nothing suggesting the insane ABV of this offering.
This is good but not great, from a brewery that normally produces better flavored offerings. Perhaps it's simply a case of doing way, way too much: too many ingredients (by a mile), too high ABV, too much barrel, without trying to bring the disparate parts into balance.

What a beer this certainly is. I bought a 4-pack on a whim despite not being a huge pastry stout fan. Thankfully, it's not as thick and syrupy as I expected, but it is definitely very sweet. Despite being 16% ABV, it still produced a full finger of head, though nothing hung around for long. Cream and caramel on the nose, quite expressive, with accents of what I would have guessed were hazelnuts, rather than the other multiple nuts involved. Hints of pecan come out as it warms. Definitely boozy, with a lot of barrel character and heat; the original barrels are undisclosed to my knowledge, but Binny's notes indicate Buffalo Trace was the second barrel treatment. Finish and aftertaste are a touch sharp, attributable to the barrel oak and possibly some bitterness from the pecan and walnuts.
An obvious omission here is that it could really use some cherry on top. Just a little tartness and fruit would go a long way. I'd settle for banana. Maybe I should pour the next can over a sundae and see what happens.
This beer has more than enough pieces of flair.
