And we have yet another Odd Side beer from BigIronH’s BIF box. I’ve seen oatmeal raisin beers before, but they seem to be quite uncommon. I feel it may be hard to express the delicate note of the cookie in a BBA Stout, but I trust Odd Side. Let’s get into it
Pours a very dark brown with 2 fingers of creamy tan head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves decent lacing
The nose is quite unique, the cookie notes are bold but balanced. I’m picking up on aromas of brown sugar, oatmeal cookie, sweet toffee, raisin, milk chocolate, light oak, and vanilla ice cream
It’s less sweet in taste, which helps the adjuncts shine through more naturally. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting milk chocolate, brown sugar, raisin, oatmeal cookie, earthy cinnamon, caramel, light oak, and red grape. The swallow brings notes of brown sugar, molasses, oatmeal cookie, earthy cinnamon, cooked raisin, cocoa powder, light whiskey, and dry oak
A medium full body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a slick beer. Finishes neutral with a touch of booze
This one is quite fun. It’s quite sweet but still feels like a Stout. Good stuff

Pours and oily pitch black with a finger of oatmeal head. Nose is cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, and oats. The barrel shines in the taste as all the components of an oatmeal cream pie combine with the burnt oak flavor of a top shelf bourbon. I’m really happy with this.
