For 11.5% it is dangerously easy to drink. Well balanced between sweetness up front and dry finish. Bitterness is not overly dominant, which makes for a very clean finish. Nothing really stands out with the flavors but what does stand out is how smooth and clean it is on the palate.

Just shy of 2-month-old can poured into a shifter.
Dull copper-gold liquid with a chill haze and minimal off-white head. Nice clarity for a big beer. Little bit of sticky spots of lacing down the glass. Swirls of the glass bring up some decent latte froth. Looks the part of a double-digit traditional American IPA.
Big fruity, piney, bitter, dank nose, right off the bat. Extremely bready, with citrus and berries really coming to the forefront. Some nice stanky dankness but not weedy or oniony like big hazies get. Covers some really nice bases and the medley of different notes hits the spot, but it's not particularly nuanced or layered -- just kind of all hits you at once, which is too bad.
Nice blend of bitterness, pithiness, and semi-sweetness on the tongue. Not abrasive, but definitely bitter. Strong citrus and berry notes, again, with heavy pine resin, lemongrass, and biscuit. Sweetness ramps up late in the sip but then drops off hard, leaving a wonderful pithy bitterness at the end.
Wonderful feel that approaches chewy and sticky but doesn't quite get there, instead being wonderfully coating and silky. The bitter, pithy film left on the teeth and tongue is awesome.
Really good all around but not spectacular in any one area. Big beer but quite enjoyable. I'll enjoy working through this 4-pack whenever I'm in the mood for a big dose of bitter (OG American IIPA) hops.
