Served in a 5oz taster glass at Odd Side Ales 6/18/11. Thanks to the killer and HeatherAnn for the assist!
A: Served thin and black with totally appropriate cola hues and a just off-white head that left some pretty lace in the glass.
S: Huge roasty nose of malt with hints of bakers chocolate and coffee grounds.
T: Awesome heavily roasted flavors. See above.
M: Thin and prickly with bitter astringency that strips the tongue and acts as a palate cleanser.
O: Totally to style and a real suprise for me. I usually don't gravitate to this style at all but I'd get this again in a heartbeat.
