Found this as a single at our local Total Wine store in and as I have been impressed with their BA stouts, I thought I’d try it.
Pour is that of a higher ABV stout, little carbonation in way of a head, but what was there was a nice dark brown.
The flavor of bourbon leapt out in front of all else, wow, this is hot. I finally got to the base stout which with lactose is a creamy flavor on top of the chocolate and coffee and assorted dark fruits.
The feel is lightly viscous, perfectly appropriate for the style.
OA, I can’t say it’s one of their finest, but it does pack a punch.
