Had on-tap at Boat Works in St. Clair Shores, Michigan.

Appearance: Black with a creamy tan head. Phenomenal lacing. Apparently to the average person it looks like a Coke...

Smell: It smells like a mint stout. Imagine that. It doesn't have that singe-your-nose-hair mentholtastic mint aroma you may expect, which is a good thing. A lot of chocolate with a fair share of mint.

Taste/feel: I jumbled between a 3.75 and a 4 and just went with the 4... especially since this beer tastes even better when it warms up a little bit. This is definitely a sweeter beer, with only a bit of roasty/dark chocolate bitterness. It definitely tastes like chocolate mint ice cream or things of that sort, but thankfully it still drinks like a BEER. I was looking forward to this, and it didn't let me down.

Almost totally opaque. Nice big 1" ruby-tan head

Smells JUST like mint-chocolate-chip ice cream, with a nice roast presence. Some woody characteristics.

Tastes just how it smells, with a welcome tiny hop bite that gives the beer a nice bitterness for balance. Finishes nice and roasty, with lactic notes.

The mouthfeel is a bit thin. The carbonation is very "bubbly," like a soda pop, and crisp rather than thick, like I'd expect for the style.

Overall a pretty awesome beer, if for no other reason than the fact that Odd Side has brewed mint chocolate chip ice cream in beer form. Seriously, are they using artificial flavoring in these beers or what?! Shaping up to be the next Short's if they can keep up the ODD!
