Draft at brewery. Amber body, small off-white head. , Faint toffee aroma, malt tastes and late hops bite. Comes off as watery though. On to the next....

was awesome to finally be in town here on a day that this place is actually open, but wanting to make this happen for awhile, but they keep limited hours. this is solid red beer, simple, but on the drier side for the style and maybe just a pinch hoppier than most, giving it a particular northwest appeal, and it remains balanced and drinkable, malt first, agricultural, and clean. close to clear and deep copper from the tap, a bronze glow and a creamy almost nitro looking white head, lovely appearance. the smell is somewhat subdued, just a toasted thing to the grain, not real rich, more earthy than sweet, a honey and biscuit thing, ever so slightly metallic but thats okay in this style. the hops are citrus forward and are there mostly on the back end. the flavor is similar, a grapefruit note to the hops thats complimentary to the heart grain base, maybe light gin notes to the hops too, and enough bitterness that this is almost snappy to finish. the ferment is clean, the malt is simple but fresh and flavorful, and there is some technical know how on display here. a little more than the basic everyday red, but its certainly drinkable like a fridge beer. unassumingly solid, seems to want to bring in the fall. dug this.

glass of beer poured from a growler filled at "b2 Taphouse" in Salem. Only $5 ( Sunday sale price) Clear amber/red body to the beer with a goodly sized thick and creamy light tan head.Attractive. Odd toasty caramel, egg white and cookie dough aroma..strange but not bad. Taste is more lively with the caramel malts playing with some resiny hop..mainlly malts though.. Nice mouthfeel..well carbonated with a dry end. Good amber ale.
