Growler fill at brewpub. Not as hoppy as you would think, based on the description and listed IBUs. Murky, dark amber, adequate head, sticky lacing. Nice mildly sweet malt profile blends well with hop mixture. No alcohol burn, but a sharp tangy, bitter finish.

Ominously dark amber with a large off white head with good retention and lacing. The nose is sweet with caramel, honey and sweetened hops. Way too sweet. Candied orange peel, a touch of ginger. The palate opens sweet, mildly hoppy, a little bitter but way too sweet. Caramel, toffee, honey. Set and mildly fruity and bitter on the finish. Bleh.
