32 oz. Medicine Bottle growler filled at Prodigal Son 4.30.11, $8.
Brewed in celebration of Prodigal Son's first anniversary, hazy golden body, minimal visible carbonation, pretty quick dissipation with some lacing retained. Nose is pretty yeasty, some floral hops, and dryish malts. Taste is a bit on the sweet side, the beer uses rose hips and grains of paradise, which gave it a fairly peppery finish common for style. Mouthfeel is a bit on the light side of medium, pretty good effervescence, not sticky. Not sure combining three yeasts contributed to the taste, but this was certainly an interesting one-off from one of Oregon's bright new breweries. Worth a try for fans of the style.
