Pours a dark caramel red-brown, topped with a thin off-white film no real head, left sparse bits of lacing.
Nice caramel and floral aroma.
Flat taste, it feels thin, a little toffee, a little caramel and some herbal hop, toffee aftertaste with some floral bitterness.
I kept thinking I got a bad bottle, but almost all the Nashoba offerings I picked up, and I picked up multiple bottles of each showed the same flaws. They had just changed brewers when I went, so maybe the new guy hadn't started yet or was still getting used to the equipment. I'll check them out again in the future. This is a contest winning recipe, so it should have been good.
