Pours a decent fizzy bubbly dark head but it fades very quickly, no lacing, super dark almost pitch black color.

NOse super dark malts, a little roasty, black malts, cocoa dust, not burnt or acrid at all, dark caramel, hint marshmallow, touch earthy hops.

Taste brings big dark malts, roasty and acrid this time, burnt acrid charred roast, like very burnt and acidic acrid, charred cocoa dust, minerals, earthy bitter hops. Finish more burnt acrid flavors, that's pretty much all of it.

Mouth is med to fuller bod, decent carb.

Overall, well it started nicely, good nose, decent appearance, but then the taste just turned into all acrid roasted burntness of horridness, incredible how they can even screw something like this up, I really think this just made me completely give up on them.

Had this beer on tap at the Brewery during their Bluegrass and Blues Festival.

Poured a dark coca cola colored body with a nice small off-white head.

Nose was very present with a rich mix of dark malts and subtle earthy notes.

Taste was medium to light bodied and very easy drinking. Lots of nice chocolate, or even classic black patent porter type malt base. There is definitely a subtle smokey flavor that flows throughout each sip.

A really nice porter, and easily one of the best beers I've had from Nashoba. I hope this one goes into full rotation.
