Another selection from BeerNV, about the best place to drink in all of Nevada selection wise. Pours golden. Struggles with clarity but has those hazy attributes. 1/6" white head, poor retention.
Aroma is a significant improvement, I believe I'm getting Mosaic out of this, a little bit of weed, papaya, guava and blueberry. Suck it oxford comma. The little slice of Nelson is nice. Its probably the lightest in terms of quantity of any hop variety here, but adds a nice little stanky weed dimension. Gotta round it out with some citrus notes from Citra and Amarillo (by morning).
The taste is a similar experience, the beer is well hopped with some of the best tried and true varieties. Weed presence, citrus, tropical, that's what hops do. I guess we could talk about Nectaron and stone fruit, but with that exception, this one brings all the hop flavors essentially. The mouthfeel did have a flabby weight and bitter twang. Its not a hazy but has hazy attributes of flaked oats/wheat.
If you close your eyes, the first half of the beer is the best.

Can from Boise Co-op. Bright, clear golden, small goamy head. Aroma is all hops, smooth and welcoming. Taste comes in oily and slick with a sodt, piney hop presence. Not overly bitter, but all hops. One of the smoothest and tastiest pales ive had in a wile.

oh this one is really good! i heard it was brewed up just for the treefort music fest in boise this year, but based on when it was added to BA here, it seems like that cannot be the case. regardless of the story, the beer is amazing, the best i have had from mother earth so far for sure, and maybe the best hoppy beer i have had since i have relocated to idaho, its way ahead of the curve here locally, and was a pint i couldnt set down, had to drink through a handful of them before i was even a little bit over it, and i plan to drink it up until its gone, really killer stuff. clear and pale for an ipa, almost looks like a pils type in the glass, that kind of radiance, bubbling, and pure white head on it, looks delicate for how brightly aromatic and fresh the hops are, bold for a beer called a pale ale, this is more ipa territory, even if the malt base is light and the abv is low, this drinks hoppy as can be. a northwestern pine profile to it, some simcoe and mosaic likely from what i smell, a little sticky and danker in flavor, weedy even, but still with strong citrus, melon, and pineapple character, and while the malt part is dry, the hops are oily and sort of sweet, so it has kind of a long linger on the tongue after the swallow. amazing hop layering, its interesting and delicious all the way through, but it also changes, peaks and fades at different times, and is just the absolute epitome of freshness right now. a stellar, even immaculate hoppy beer, outstanding with seafood, but probably killer with just about anything. i need more!
edit: a little less striking to me here in spring of 2024, not sure if there is some recipe variability year to year. i like the lightness of it and the ease, but the hops arent popping the way i remember it, more hazy now too, less refined in that sense, still really tasty, a good pizza beer, but i prefer it from a few years back no doubt. leaving scores alone...
