a clean and well made pils here, the lightest by far of the offerings when i visited the taproom in nampa, and i grabbed one because it was about a million degrees in here, man they really need to figure out a way to cool this place down, it was borderline tough to hang out here on a hot summery day, just baking inside. in any event, the beer hit the spot, its crisp and clean, relatively minimalist in terms of body and hops and all of that, but its not boring, as there is a nice crackery freshness to the light malt, and there is just a light pop of hop bitterness at the end. the yeast is lighter than in a lot of these, not as bready and classically european to me, but the beer gains some amount of refreshment value from that i think, and the whole thing drinks light and simple and summery for me. the high carbonation is nice, the touch of minerality to it makes it brisk, and the overall quality here is excellent. this is one they might want to think about canning, if they dont already, i prefer this to some of their other lighter summer offerings (the ginger one comes to mind). a nice light refresher here, perfect for the hot weather.
