the mosaic from last year blew me away, one of the best of the season, so i was stoked to try this sabro edition and it absolutely lives up to the high standard set by its predecessor, even a little more dynamic! wow this is great, one of the best sabro beers ive ever had, so concentrated and forward in aroma and flavor, almost candied, cryo vibes with the intense saturation but no greenness. i get none of the weird parts of sabro, its not catty or onion-like in the least here, and its nuance really shines in this oily whirlwind of a brew, so pungently flavored by these wet hops it seems almost impossible. not all the way clear but not intentionally hazy either, pale orange in color with a lather of white head on top an inch high and lasting. the nose here is sweet coconut, meyer lemon, green grape, floral honey, and orange essence, simple but sturdy malt base underneath, nothing from the ferment at all. its hop dense in flavor too, like a weighty texture but not from the grain. its super fruity, almost candied without being sweet, and definitely has a dank grapey sativa vibe to me. more coconut as it warms, pulpy mango, ripe nectarine, its amazing, and it has some noticeable bitterness on the finish which is nice for a wet hop beer. tidy ferment, good malt support, relatively dry at the end, nicely carbonated, fresh as they come, and just a glorious expression of sabro hops. up there with the best mother earth beers ive ever had! a stunner.
