16oz can from Boise Co-op. Hazy straw colored pour, with a thin skin of head. Light citrusy aroma, grapefruit, tangerine. Hops burst forth in the taste, nice zesty bitterness, light citrusy notes.

a bold and sturdy hazy ipa here, the latest in their impressive project x series. its quite cloudy from the can, not much head after a second, soupy cereal looking, real pale, some sediment visible. the aroma shows great freshness, obvious stone fruit character, and some light green hop bite, short of burn, but gripping to me, grainy beneath the hops but in kind of a generic way, fuller. the flavor is better than the nose, strong ripe peach nectar to me, blooming orchid, dried apricot, bellini, and light pine as it warms, plenty of hop bite on the swallow, it lingers long too, and presents itself as somewhat more bitter than is common in the style, certainly a little more punchy than the last few in this series have been. it seems just a little sloppy, not just because of the intensity of the finish but also because of all the body, its starchy and kind of thick, a little filling, and the alcohol even pokes through a little bit, not a bad thing, and not a detriment to the beer overall all that much, but these guys are capable of making this a little cleaner for sure. the hop profile is what makes it for me, the rest of it is nothing special.
