On-tap at Mother Earth
A: The pour is a clear amber color with a bit of an off-white/khaki head.
S: There is a distinct roast character to this beer that gives off an almost coffee aroma at times. A hint of yeast esters, but nothing that really lives up to the Belgian tag.
T: A strong bitterness is immediately noticeable, as is the dominant roasted malt character. Again, a touch of coffee and maybe some chocolates and dark fruits, but not much Belgian yeast.
M: The body is medium and so is the carbonation, with a lingering bitterness.
D: This beer just didn't really do anything for me. Bitter, roasty, and that's about it. I don't know what the goal was here, but this can't be it.
