Poured a dark maroonish amber with a finger of head that left good sticky lacing on the glass. The nose was like an amber style beer with caramel malt, nuttiness, toffee, and very faint hop notes. The flavor was also big on the caramel malts which had nutty and slight hop accents. It also had some underlying toffee notes. The brew was medium body with a good amount of carbonation that had a nutty, sweet and slight hop bitter finish. It drank very good and was a decent offering from MEB.

On-tap at Mother Earth
A: The pour is a dark amber sort of color with a finger's worth of off-white head.
S: Sweet malts up front with quite a bit of dark fruit notes (cherries) for a brown ale. A definite hint of nuttiness as well.
T: Quite a big malt base on this beer, which is not surprising. Hints of toffee, caramel, coffee along with some dark fruit flavors at points.
M: The body is medium with a similarly pedestrian level of carbonation.
D: This beer did have some aspects I enjoyed, but it was also just sort of strange. Might have been the agave.
